Program of Post-Graduation in Regional Development (PPRD) – Master's and Doctor's Degree
The Program of Post-Graduation In Regional Development – Master's and Doctor's Degree – aims to promote the training and the improvement of professionals for the practice of activities of research, advisement and consultancy, of strategic evaluation and planning, in public and private institutions, in an interdisciplinary way, emphasizing the promotion of citizenship and of life quality.
The PPRD aims, equally, to promote and to consolidate researches of an interdisciplinary aspect, in the following areas of concentration, promoting this way the absorption of the knowledge related to the factors which intervene in the process of the development promotion in a region. For this it considers primordial the constant activity of research which deals with the changes inherent in the movement of the economic institutions, of the political organizations on the state-owned sphere and on the civil society, in the technological and environmental changes, as well as in the own alteration in the juridical and symbolic spheres (customs, religion, and so on) which rule and advise the universe of representation of a regional community members.
From its consolidation, the PPRD has as objective also to become a center of reference in studies about Regional Development. For this reason it's developing methodologies of analysis of the regional development process, as well as collecting data about different historical process, economic, political and technological factors which characterize the development in several regions of the world, besides collecting information about compared studies on the development of the countries which are part of Mercosur.
Therefore, the PPRD, as such, intends to develop a methodology of regional analysis, preparing its egresses to act as active agents in identifying the problems and in proposing the directions, applied to the promotion of development in the regions in which they act.
With the introduction of the Doctor's Degree, it's intended to qualify even more the professionals involved in the process (teaching staff and students), to, from the production of new knowledge on, assure an action each time more critical and effective against the challenges given by reality.
So, with the purpose of deepening the emphasis on the Regional Development, the PPRD, in the year in which completes its tenth year of installment, it assumes the challenge of reseeing its proposal and its structure, with prominence to the redefinition of the Research Line which guides the Program research.
Program of Post-Graduation in Law – Master's Degree
The UNISC's Program of Master's Degree in Law, with Concentration Field in Social Rights and Public Policies, centers its worries on the discussion of fundamental questions for the Law, the State, and the Society, namely:
- the perspectives and the challenges of the social requirements each time more complex and tensional which come with the daily life;
- the behavior of the contemporary constitutionalism in view of such requirements;
- the public policies and the management process of the social interests in the scope of Public Administration.
With these academic directions, the Program intends to give opportunity to the student body formulate the instruments and mechanisms of changeable social intervention, based on democrat and emancipating principles and values, as well as capacitate even more the juridical operator to his judiciary practice.
Therefore, the Program of Master's Degree in Law aims to propitiate a wide-ranging education – at the same time punctual – to its students, as can be concluded by its proposal as from the Concentration Field as from its Research Lines (Law and Social Requirements, Daily Life constitutionalism, Public Administration and Policies), having a curriculum structure which assures the education as of researchers and teachers as of advocacy militant, conscious about the daily life position of Law, of its agents and of its future as a regulation instrument of a democratic and fair social order.
