1. Marketing and strategy It orientates the Works with the purpose of supplying the necessities related to issues of strategic management, focusing on subjects of macro environmental order, like foreign grade, strategic planning, marketing and sales, aiming to the construction of sceneries and adaptation of the organizations in the market.
2. Vegetable entomology and taxonomy It develops researches on the communitarian interest in the area of entomology and tobacco cultivation, searching for alternatives to reduce the quantity of agro toxics used against the tobacco diseases and pests.
3. Microbiology It studies and analyses the hygienic and sanitary quality of foods and it carries out diagnosis of zoonosis in the health and veterinarian area.
4.Vegetable and microorganisms biotechnology It develops researches in the cultivation of vegetable tissues and vegetable physiology areas, as well as in the energetic metabolism and genetic microorganisms areas. It develops and transfers technologies of products and process derived from the industrial microbiology.
5. Supervisory It comprehends the development of projects in the area of Accountancy Information System, Accountability and Tributary Planning, Costs, Accountability and Strategic Panning, Social and Environmental Management, Analysis of Accountancy Demonstration, Entrepreneurs Budget and Operational Audit, directing the researches to supply the necessities of economic, financial and social management of the organizations, searching for controls and subsidies for the business rationality and effectiveness.
6. Rural development and agribusiness It stimulates the development of projects in the agro industrial area, aiming to the diagnosis, management and chance of development of new technologies and alternative cultivations which make the development of small and medium rural property possible. It studies the agro industrial complexes (AICs) and the agricultural and rural development policies, as well as the conjectural accompanying of the agricultural market.
7. Logic, epistemology and cognition It investigates the classical and non classical, polyvalent and institutions logics; the epistemology; the cognitive sciences and the mind philosophy: intentionality problems.
8. New methodologies of social research It studies the research on its epistemological pretexts, its methods and its possibilities in graduation and post graduation courses. It also broaches the systematization of research in its different areas of human knowledge.
9. Ethic, politics and law It researches about the fundamental problems and its respective statutes exposed by the practical theories about the ethic, politic and law, as in the classical philosophers as in the modern and contemporary ones, contemplating several knowledge related areas.
10.Cultural identities and global process It identifies and comprehends the construction of regional, ethnical and national identities, relating them to the global process, more specifically, to the communication technologies.
11. Political culture It studies the political attitudes and orientation patterns predominant in our country, regions or social groups. It investigates political socializing process as on the point of view of permanence as of the transformation of the political culture. It researches the entailment of culture with the electoral behavior, the influences of culture in the political institutions and the perspectives of constitution of a democratic culture in Brazil.
12. Social Gerontology It studies and discusses the place and role which the individuals situated in the third age occupy in the contemporary society. It relates the public policies and the social initiatives to this sector and the several ways of construction and representation of old age identity.
13. Society and violence It studies the conflict and the violence as structure elements of social relations and processes constitutive of contemporary society. It discusses the several theoretical approaches about the set of themes on the field of human sciences. It investigates different demonstration of violence - of rights, symbolic, institutional, political and spread exclusion - and of criminality in the regional, state and national context, as well as the State intervention in the public security.
14. Studies on the work and subjectivity It researches the evolution oh the concept of work, the work history and history about the ideas of work, the characteristics of work in the contemporary world, its particularities in the capitalism development and its changes in the informatics era. It broaches, still, the impact of the institutional and organizational processes of work on the workers subjectivity and health.
15. Media and social cultural processes It studies the social cultural processes which work from technological and cultural processes. Symbolic processes which the society/ media practices, as well as the emergency and the legitimatization of new technologies in the social cultural contexts.
16. Communication and new technologies It studies the new technologies action and interferences in the area of communication and information. Arising from the principle that these called new technologies interfere in the process of information production, edition and circulation in the means of communication, it analyses the phenomenon, especially in what concerns to the image technologies.
17. Law and social requirements It analyses new realities and/ or new emerging social segments or the fortification of them, through their chains with the State in its several spheres, expressed through the exercise of citizenship, facing the act of making local power explicit.
18. Administration and public policies Its concerned with the theme of new public requirements in view of modern times challenges, broaching the way of public interests management and the public participation in this management.
19. Contemporary constitutionalism It intends to understand the constitutional phenomenon in its aspect of juridical consolidation of own guarantees of a highly complex society, on account of the normative plurality which is of their own.
20. Law philosophy It intends to work with the new paradigms of the Law theory, verifying up to which point the juridical operators are managing to understand and contribute to the process of social relations.
21. Educational management It studies the educational institutions from the ways of management and the purposes which maintain them, recovering the definition of policies, organizations and planning of actions/ reflections and direction.
22. Teaching, education and formation of teachers It studies the teacher on his work context, considering his initial formation and in his job, in several levels and modalities. It studies the professional trajectory of teachers, recovering meaningful elements of his history of life.
23. Exclusion and inclusion process on the education It analyses ideology, speeches, practices and happenings in the educational context where process of social exclusion and possibilities/ alternatives of inclusion become evident.
24. New methodologies and technologies for the educational practice It makes investigating studies involving the structuring, the development and the evaluation of new methodologies and technologies for the educational practice.
25. Game, art, creativity and human development It studies the game (and the ludic process), as a meditative element in the educational, artistic, philosophical, literary, corporal and of creativity dimensions, articulated in the reading, dialogue and reflection of different speeches which integrate the culture.
26. New techniques, methodologies and materials applied to the health It studies new techniques, technologies, materials, methodologies, aiming to the improvement of medical care to the individual and to the collectivity and/ or innovations in diagnosis and health treatments.
27. History: culture and society It investigates the history in its social, cultural, political and economical dimensions.

Formation, organization and development of regional space It investigates the regional space from an interdisciplinary approach, in which economical, social, cultural and technological aspects are considered, with the purpose of understanding the formation, organization and development of regional space.
29. Space and urban and regional planning It analyses the issues related to the space and to the environment in their social, political and of representation implications, at a symbolic esthetical, technological or functional level.
30. Applied informatics It studies and develops appliances for problems of several knowledge areas, using methodologies based on discoveries of knowledge, software engineering and database.
31. Computer science systems It is about the problems related to the implementation of computer science systems for the development support of appliances of any knowledge areas, turning to itself to the formation of qualified personnel on the knowledge of techniques for the increase of the computer science systems' performance.
32. Language acquirement and processing and the language teaching It investigates proper educational and cognitive strategies for teaching, processing and the acquirement of native and foreign language.
33. Teaching: reading, literature and production It investigates proper educational strategies for teaching reading, as of literary as non-literary texts, and for the production of several typology of texts

35. Psychology, culture and subjectivity It investigates the construction of subjectivity and it makes multi dimensional studies in the human beings vital cycle.
36. Studies on the health area It comprehends studies about health in its several expressions and approaches on prevention and rehabilitation, in a historical and socially determined context, having as a focus of investigation the construction of knowledge in the knowledge areas involved.
37. Social movement and bio-centric principles It studies the social movements, in their maintainable communitarian structure, from the interdisciplinary broaches, taking as a base the bio-centric principal, in which the feeling of being alive and the collective life are the central reference of existence.
38. Studies on pure and applied Chemistry and Physics It makes theoretical and/ or experimental studies involving microscopically physical properties of the matters. Organic chemistry. 39. Oil chemistry It involves studies on the extraction and qualitative, quantitative characterization of essential and non-essential vegetable oils. Study the process of bio transformation of vegetable oils.
40. Science and technology of materials It studies the process of production, the control of quality, the development of technologies involving materials (products or raw-material). Refinement of analytical procedures aiming to the characterization of materials. Identification of polymer compounds. Polymer recycling. Development of studies involving packaging. 46. Environmental science and technology It is about the environmental monitoring. Studies involving solid residues and generation and treatment of effluents. Evaluation of quality of water of rivers and brooks, through measures of physic, chemical and biological variable. Environmental geography and planning. Analysis of environment under the spatial point of view.
47. Genetic and molecular biology It studies and analyses the vegetable genetic diversity, the molecular diversity of bacteria and the fungi genetic.
48. Psychology and human development It makes multi dimensional studies on the human being vital cycle, since the conception to the death, in its quantitative and qualitative aspects. It investigates the bio psychosocial transformations in the life of subjects in the most variable aspects of its development.
49. Collective health It studies, besides the aspects dealt by the natural sciences, the ones involved in the constitution of collective patterns of morbid- mortality and of social ways of organization of health care.
50. Foods science and technology It studies the optimization of food production processes. Refinement of methods of microbiological and physic-chemical quality controls. Development of new technologies for the food production and conservation.
51. Literature, interdisciplinary and cultural studies It makes studies on the literature and searches the establishment of connections of it with other knowledge areas.
52. Management and production processes It studies the production management and administration for optimizing the process, developing from the enterprises layout adaptation to the rational utilization of raw material and human resources.
53. Relationships and genus It studies the social construction of genus and its articulations social classes, ethnic group, work, education, subjectivity formation, life cycle, public policies, reproduction, communication, violence, art and culture.
54. Experimental studies on the cognitive and behavioral processes It studies the cognitive and behavioral processes through the investigation and the experimental nature: elaboration and validation of instruments, hypothesis tests analysis of the interfaces of this knowledge with the praxis in the health and social science areas.
